Nana Lehtinen

Nana has been an entrepreneur at Puheklinikka since 2006. Her responsibilities include developing Puheklinikka’s operations, supervising therapy work and coordinating administrative matters.

Nana graduated as a speech and language therapist from the University of Oulu in 2004. In her Master’s Thesis, she studied how spoken Finnish changes under the influence of a foreign language. In her Doctoral Thesis, Nana studied how healthy bilingual people perform in verbal fluency tasks in Finnish and English.

Nana also develops the Sanapsis family of speech therapy apps, designed and built at Puheklinikka.

The Sanapsis family includes three apps:

• SanapsisPro, a trilingual professional app designed for speech and language therapists (Finnish, Swedish and English).
• SanapsisLite, which offers a short preview of the SanapsisPro app.
• Sanapsis+, designed to support clients’ independent word-level practice at home. In addition to exercises, Sanapsis+ offers tips and ideas for activating speech and language functions at home.
